React, comment, and acknowledge
Everyone in the organization can read the announcements feed and interact with each post. This guide covers what you can do as a reader.
The feed
Section titled “The feed”Open Announcements to see the feed. Posts are shown newest first, with any pinned posts kept at the top. Open a post to see its full contents, including any poll, comments, and attachments.
Attachments
Section titled “Attachments”- Images show as thumbnails. Click one to open it full-screen, and page through multiple images with the arrows.
- Documents (PDF, Word, Excel, and so on) show as download links that open in a new tab.
Hover the React button to open the reaction picker and choose one:
- 👍 Like ❤️ Love 😆 Haha 😮 Wow 😢 Sad 😡 Angry
You get one reaction per post. Picking a different emoji swaps it; clicking the one you already chose removes it. The tally under a post shows the count for each emoji — open it to see who reacted with what (names link to profiles where the directory is visible).
Comment
Section titled “Comment”-
In a post, write your comment in the Write a comment… box (up to 4,000 characters).
-
If the post allows it, tick Post anonymously to hide your name.
-
Select Post comment.
- You can edit or delete your own named comments. Anonymous comments can’t be edited, and only moderators can remove them.
- If the post holds anonymous comments for review, yours shows as Pending review until a moderator approves it.
Acknowledge
Section titled “Acknowledge”Some posts ask you to confirm you’ve read them. These show an I have read this button — on the feed card and on the post. Select it once to confirm; the post then shows You acknowledged this, and the feed card marks it Acknowledged. Moderators can see the list of who has acknowledged the post.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”When a new announcement is posted, everyone in the organization (except the author) gets an in-app notification, and an email where email notifications are enabled. Reactions, comments, and poll votes don’t send notifications.
